TDH 4th of July Parade 2026: Riding & Float

We will be participating in the Annual Town of Truckee 4th of July Parade again this year - please join us!  This year’s parade helps celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America - with a focus on what makes our mountain town so special: neighbors coming together, local organizations showing their pride, and families lining the streets to celebrate community traditions.

There are multiple ways to join, help, and support Truckee Donner Horsemen at the parade!

WHAT:

Join in TDH's entry for the Truckee 4th of July Parade - participation options:

• help decorate the float beforehand

• ride or hand-walk your horse in the parade

• ride on the TDH/Rodeo float & wave to the crowd (no horse needed!)

• walk in the ever-so-important "Pooper Scooper" crew as we parade through town - a crowd favorite!

WHEN:

Friday, July 4th, 2026

Float Decorating= morning (7:30am-9:00am) 

Horse Arrival= morning (7:30am-8:00am arrive; 9:00am horse trailer move to post-parade trailer location; 9:15am road closes)

Parade= morning/midday (9:50am= parade officially begins & runs for ~2 hours)
